Two 5th Judicial District court executives have been reassigned, William C. Vickery, state court administrator, has announced.

Sheila Rose, court executive for the 5th District and 5th Circuit Court, will become a probation officer with the 5th District Juvenile Court in the St. George office effective Sept. 1. James Nelson, court executive for the 5th District Juvenile Court, will expand his administrative responsibilities to include the district and circuit courts. Nelson will begin his new duties immediately with Rose assisting in the transition over the next two months.The assignments will provide a consolidation and centralization of responsibilities resulting in more effective and efficient operation of the courts, said Vickery.

Rose holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Utah State College and a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been a court executive with Utah since September 1984.

Nelson is also a graduate of SUSC. He worked as a juvenile court probation officer in Cedar City and St. George for six years. He was then promoted to supervisory probation officer serving Washington, Beaver and Iron counties. In March 1984 he became the court executive for the 5th District Juvenile Court.
