Broadcast International, 7050 S. Union Park Center, had net earnings of $422,000 or 10 cents per share in the quarter ending Sept. 30, compared to $182,000 or four cents per share in the same period a year ago.

The company, which provides satellite-delivered business information and network services, had $4.3 million in revenue for the three-month period, a $168 percent increase over the $1.6 million in revenue a year ago.For the nine months ending Sept. 30, revenue totaled $10.5 million compared to $4.6 million a year ago. Net income was $754,000 or 17 cents per share compared with earnings of $687,000 or 16 cents per share in the same period a year ago.

Company officials also announced that because of unfavorable market conditions they will delay the previously announced underwritten securities offering of common stock until the conclusion of a proposed merger with CheckRite International Inc., which was expected in December 1990.
