A 3,372 square-foot Disney Store, the first in Utah, will open Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Crossroads Plaza.

Every product, from $1 pencil huggers to $3,000 porcelain figurines, is detailed with Disney characters. The store will have a wide selection of licensed and exclusive Disney items including games, toys, music and books, watches, apparel, current home video releases and even animation cells used in classic Disney features. The store will feature a video newsstand where guests can collect literature about other Disney entertainment, such as news about special programming on national television or the Disney Channel, resort brochures and special offers.

A video laserdisk will present scenes from the newest attractions at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and the coming Euro Disneyland and the latest Disney feature films and home video releases.

This year, 38 Disney stores have been opened, bringing to 79 the number of stores in the chain in 33 states. A store will open in London soon.

"The positive reaction to the Disney Store shows they are a natural extension of our business, a great way to deliver the excitement and magic of Disney to more communities," said Barton K. Boyd, president of Disney Consumer Products.
