Folks here are "all ate up" with '88.

Small wonder. Monday, if you check your calendar, is 8-8-88, short for Aug. 8, 1988. It's the kind of coincidence that occurs once in 100 years. And the people of Eighty Eight - they call themselves "Eighty-Eighters" - intend to make the most of it.They've decided to have the parade Sunday, since most Eighty-Eighters have to work Monday even though it is 8-8-88. The parade will feature:

- Honored guests Deb Muhlbeier and Tom Accardo of Casper, Wyo. They saw a story about Eighty Eight on television a couple months ago and decided on a whim to be married here at 8:08 p.m. on 8-8-88. They'll appear in the parade riding in a 1988 Oldsmobile 88 convertible.

- Grand marshal Elsie Billingsley, who was born in Eighty Eight 88 years ago. The parade's organizers have had difficulty finding a second 1988 Oldsmobile 88, so it looks like Elsie will have to settle for a 1988 Buick.

- Daniel Lloyd, who has been chosen to carry the American flag at the head of the procession by virtue of the fact that 8-8-88 is his eighth birthday. He'll be walking.
