Parents with children in Alpine, Provo and Nebo School Districts interested in learning how to reduce the risk of their children experimenting with drugs and alcohol are invited to join free classes beginning the week of Nov. 5.

The series of five substance abuse prevention classes, sponsored by The Gathering Place, will teach parents how to use family meetings to develop a family position on drugs and alcohol, teach their children how to say no to drugs, manage conflict, express and control anger and strengthen family bonds. The classes will be taught at Sharon Elementary, Timpanogos Elementary and the Provo City Library.

Parents are invited to enroll in the classes as soon as possible as enrollment is limited. For more information or to register, call Angela Meyers at The Gathering Place, 226-2255.
