The Utah Coca-Cola Bottling Co. is participating again in the company's Scholars Program.
Students interested in applying for scholarships should contact a school guidance counselor or principal. Winners are selected based on character, personal merit and background. Some are recognized for obstacles they have overcome, said Jeff Anderson, sales center manager for the Salt Lake plant. This year's winners will be announced next spring. The program is endowed by bottlers throughout the country and was founded to note Coca-Cola's 100th anniversary. Last year's Utah winner was Jeff Andersen, Olympus High School.
