Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, La Rue Daybell Rider, age 73, died on October 31, 1990 in Salt Lake City after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis of 48 years.
Born on May 13, 1917 in Garfield, Utah to Frank and Hilda Dahlman Daybell. Married Richard Vernal Rider October 1942, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple; he died on September 30, 1951. Active member of the LDS Church.Survived by daughter and sons, Eileen and her husband, Antonio Gonzales, Sandy, Utah; Lt. Col. R. Dennis and his wife, Jill Rider, Columbus, Mississippi; and Brent Rider, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister Beth and her husband, Ed Naylor, Salt Lake City; brother, Kenneth and his wife Lucille Daybell, Simi, Calif.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Grant 7th Ward Chapel, 3487 South 1300 East. Friends may call at Mackay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Friday 6-8 p.m., and at the ward chapel Saturday, 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
