Lowen Hansen Whight, 82, died October 30, 1990 at the Brigham City Community Hospital.

He was born May 14, 1908 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of Jesse Lowen and Helen Mable Hansen Whight. He attended schools in Brigham City and high school in Union, Oregon. He married Anna J. Hendrickson on February 20, 1932 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a High Priest in the 19th Ward, having served in the presidency of the MIA, a counselor in the branch presidency, served a stake mission for the Reno Stake. He and his wife served a mission to New Zealand. He had been a tabernacle guide in Brigham City and an avid temple worker. He was a carpenter and had built many homes in Susanville, California and Union, Oregon. He operated a farm at Columbia Basin, Washington for 20 years. He had lived in Union, Oregon until coming to Brigham City two years ago.Survived by wife, three sons, three daughters-in-law, Mark H. Whight (Carol), Provo; Richard H. Whight (Judy), Sandy; Dwayne H. Whight (Debbie), Korea; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; also surviving, one brother, two sisters, William H. Whight, Brigham City; Mrs. Edith Baxter and Mrs. Mary Mitchell, both of Union, Oregon; preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be held November 3, 1990 at 12 noon in the Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South in Brigham City, with Bishop James Fuller, of the 19th Ward, conducting. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8, and Saturday, one hour prior to the services. Interment: Brigham City Cemetery.
