Abner William Phillip Freeman, age 87, died on October 29, 1990 in Salt Lake City.

Born on September 5, 1903 in Winford, South Dakota to Abner William and Hennetta Yuill Freeman. Married Julia Amonda Powers on January 27, 1929; she later died. Retired from Greyhound Bus Lines.Survived by sons and daughters, James L. Freeman and his wife, Dorothy, Melva Thomas and her husband, Dean, all Salt Lake City; Carl R. Freeman and his wife, June, Maxine Tidwell and her husband, Dick, all of Ferron, Utah; Gordon Freeman and his wife, Barbara, Walter N. Freeman and his wife, Bonnie, all of Elko, Nevada; Robert A. Freeman and his wife, Cleda, Vernon A. Freeman and his wife, Sandra, all of West Valley City, Utah; 56 grandchildren; 98 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Josephine Guffey, Salt Lake City; and Beth Cox, Little Rock, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 1990 at 2 p.m. in the Murray Baptist Church, 184 East 5770 South. Friends may call at Mackay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, on Friday 6-8 p.m. and at the church, 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Burial: Sunset Gardens.
