The president of the Young Women of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak at a Brigham Young University Devotional Tuesday, Nov. 13.
Ardeth Greene Kapp will speak to the university community at 11 a.m. in the Marriott Center.President Kapp has served in her current position since April 7, 1984. She has also served on the Youth Correlation and General Curriculum committees of the church and has held many administrative and teaching positions.
Her college schooling started at Weber State College, where she earned an associate degree. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Utah and her master's degree from BYU.
She returned to BYU to serve on the faculty in the College of Education. Later she became coordinator of student leadership development.
She is a member of the board of trustees of the Church Educational System and is also member of the board of directors for Deseret Book Company and Deseret Gym.
