Salt Lake native Roger Swadish has returned to become general manager of the Doubletree Hotel in Salt Lake City.

Swadish left Utah in 1964 when his parents moved to California. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles, transferred to Stanford University in his junior year and in 1976 received a bachelor of business administration degree.He joined Doubletree seven years ago and and hotel officials sent him to Monterey, Calif. Later, he moved to Santa Clara, Calif., and Tucson, Ariz. Most recently he managed the Doubletree in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Before his Doubletree employment, he worked in food and beverage management at the Kona Surf Hotel in Hawaii and the Newporter Inn in Newport Beach, Calif.
