Axl Rose, lead singer for the heavy metal band Guns 'N Roses, was arrested early Tuesday for allegedly bashing a neighbor woman over the head with a wine bottle, authorities said.

Gabriela Kantor, 37, was returning to her condo when Rose confronted her in a hallway, a deputy sheriff said."Words were exchanged between the two of them," he said. "Rose took Kantor's keys away from her and threw them off the 12th floor to the ground below. Rose then took a bottle of wine away from Kantor and emptied the contents (onto the floor) and then hit her over the head with the bottle," the deputy said.
