A man wearing a black gorilla mask robbed the Hardy's Enterprise Texaco service station at 1340 N. 200 West Sunday night.

The assailant entered the store around 9:34 p.m. and asked the clerk for a brown paper bag. The clerk handed a bag to the man. He then told the clerk to put all of the station's money into the bag. No one else was in the station at the time of the robbery.When the clerk hesitated, the man revealed a silver handgun tucked in the waistband of his pants. The clerk filled the bag with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man then told the clerk to lie on the floor and left the business in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and around 25 to 30 years old. In addition to the mask, he was wearing Levi pants and a blue hooded sweat shirt at the time of the robbery.

Provo police do not know whether others assisted in the robbery. Police have not apprehended the man.
