`Phantom' returns to S.L."The Phantom of the Opera" is making another Salt Lake appearance Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29 and 30 - but this time it's the genuine article. No, not Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, it's the original genuine article. We're talking Lon Chaney's 1925 silent classic, with a new organ score and a sharp print complete with the Technicolor ball sequence. The only article more genuine is Gaston Leraux's 1910 novel. "The Phantom of the Opera," acknowledged as one of the greatest of all silent films, will be shown each evening at 7:30, with Blaine Gale's live organ accompaniment, at the Organ Loft, 3331 Edison St. (a half-block east of State Street at 3300 South). Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children. For more information, call 485-9265.
