A grand jury handed up indictments against four men on Ute and Navajo Indian reservations on charges ranging from sexual assault on a child to assault with intent to commit murder.

The grand jury indicted Tony Rabbit on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. The indictment says Rabbit assaulted Jack Cantzee, Corwin Yazzie, and Ervin Nelson on May 12 on the Ute Indian Reservation.The jury charged Wilson F. Collins with aggravated sexual abuse of a child involving sex acts committed sometime during the summer on a 12-year-old female.

The jury charged Ellison Whitehorse with assault with a dangerous weapon in an attack on Herman Lee Oliver on July 22.

Curtis Benally was charged with assault with intent to commit murder for an attack on Billy Paul Shorty Feb. 2.
