Construction on the northbound lanes of I-15 between Lehi and the Utah County line at Point of the Mountain has been completed, according to Utah Department of Transportation spokesman Kevin Beckstrom.

"Northbound lanes on the northbound side will be opened Sunday afternoon," Beckstrom said. Between Monday and Wednesday, dividers, markers and pylons will be moved from the southbound lanes to the northbound lanes. Beginning Wednesday both southbound and northbound lanes will share the northbound side while construction begins on the southbound lanes."We are pushing to have the work completed by the end of October," Beckstrom said. UDOT crews have been removing old asphalt shoulders, making repairs on the Lehi bridge and replacing concrete on the six-mile section of I-15.

Beckstrom said that motorists traveling on the shoulder lanes during construction will be traveling over "rumble strips" put in the road. "It won't hurt their cars, just keep them awake with the noise," he said.
