A birthday card to American hostage Terry Anderson, written and drawn by his 5-year-old daughter Sulome, was published Saturday by seven Lebanese newspapers for his 43rd birthday, his sixth in captivity. The newspapers also printed greetings to Anderson from his sister, Peggy Say, and from Sulome's mother. They published the original English text so that Anderson would be able to read the greetings if his kidnappers allowed him to. Sulome has never met her father as she was born several months after he was kidnapped. One newspaper also reported that fellow hostage Terry Waite, an Anglican envoy, may be freed soon.
