Cloye James "Cotton" Peterson, 78, died October 25, 1990 in Price.
Born January 5, 1912 in Kenilworth, Utah, to Alma and Bolena Olson Peterson. Married Violet M. Atwood January 17, 1933, in Elmo, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in 1978. Married Phebe Pate, January 31, 1981 in Oakland, California; later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Worked as a dispatcher/machine operator with U.S. Steel Coal Mine. Active member LDS Church, having served as a bishop and in numerous other church positions throughout his life. He was an avid cowboy and rancher, and a noted dog trainer. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.Survived by wife, Phebe, Wellington; one son and two daughters, Gareth and Lilli Ann Peterson, Murray; Mrs. Warren (Shanna) Anderson, Cedar Hills; Mrs. Gary (Sharra) Booth, Springville; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evia Fisher Perry, Ida Patrick, both East Carbon City; Lourine Miller, Arizona.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 29, 1990, 11 a.m., Wellington LDS Stake Center, 935 East Main, Wellington. Friends may call Sunday evening, 7-9 p.m., at Fausett Mortuary in Price, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial: Cleveland Cemetery.
