Lena Udora Miller Jensen, 74, died Wednesday, October 24, 1990 at the Logan Regional Hospital.
She was born August 30, 1916 at Hazel, Idaho, daughter of Clarence Eugene and Ida Adella Owens Miller. She married Orson Emil Jensen on October 7, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away April 2, 1976. She was a member of the Thatcher Penrose LDS 2nd Ward; active in various positions including Young Womens, Relief Society and Primary organizations on stake and ward levels. She was a member of th Eagle Peak Camp, of the Daughter of Utah Pioneer. She co-authered a history of the Penrose Ward. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She sought out and befriended those in need.Survived by three sons and two daughters, Orson Eugene Jensen; David Brent Jensen; and Michael Bruce Jensen, all Penrose; Joan Rollins, Orem; and Marlena Griffin, Hot Springs, Arkansa; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Oleta Meacham, Lois Webb, both Fruitheights; Opal Kimber, Grass Creek; Carma Ballingham, Sparks, Nevada. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, three grandsons, and one sister.
Services will be held on Monday, October 29, at 12 noon, in the Thatcher Penrose 2nd Ward Chapel, with Bishop Russell Howe conducting. Friends may call at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home in Tremonton Sunday evening, from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward chapel, one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery under the direction of Petersen Funeral Chapel in Brigham City.
