Glen Hansen Valentine, age 85, died Thursday, October 25, 1990 at the Brigham City Community Hospital.
He was born November 7, 1904 in Brigham City, a son of Joseph W. and Rachel Hansen Valentine. He married Esther Petersen on April 26, 1929. She passed away August 30, 1990. He was a High Priest in the Brigham City Ninth Ward. He was active in music and as a home teacher. He had been past branch president of the Nursing Home Branch in Brigham City. He was past president of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. He served with the National Guard for 20 years. He was employed as a railroad agent, UIC Railroad until his retirement.Survivors: five sons, one daughter, Robert G. Valentine, Dale E. "Ferd" Valentine, both Brigham City; Harold J. "Joe" Valentine, Riverside, California; Jarold C. "Jerry" Valentine, Littleton, Colorado; Luis J. "Lou" Valentine, Roy; Mrs. Craig (Susan) Koldewyn, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; also surviving, one brother, one sister, Grant L. Valentine, Salt Lake City; Mrs. DeLone Carlisle, San Diego, California; also surviving is a special friend, Mrs. Ramon (Irma) Nieto, Brigham City; preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 29, 1990 at 12 noon in the Brigham City 9th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Richard Felt conducting. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and also Monday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. Interment: Brigham City Cemetery.
