David Robinson had 22 points and 10 blocked shots, and Terry Cummings scored nine of his 23 points in the fourth quarter to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 105-100 NBA exhibition victory Thursday night over the Dallas Mavericks.

Dallas (2-4) was led by Rolando Blackman and Roy Tarpley, each with 16 points.San Antonio (4-3) led by as many as 25 points late in the second quarter. But Dallas trimmed the deficit to six midway through the third.

A 9-0 Dallas run in the fourth quarter gave the Mavericks their only lead of the game, 87-86. Alex English scored five points during the rally.

Hornets 94, Wolves 91

In Rochester, Minn., J.R. Reid scored 16 points to lift the Charlotte Hornets to an overtime exhibition victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Armon Gilliam and Rex Chapman chipped in 14 apiece and Johnny Newman added 12 for the Hornets, now 5-1 in preseason play. Gilliam also had 13 rebounds.

Warriors 144, Kings 107

In Fresno, Calif., Sarunas Marciulionis scored 26 points and Mitch Richmond added 23 to lead Golden State to an exhibition victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Antoine Carr led Sacramento (3-2) with 24 points and Eric Leckner added 15.

Cavaliers 116, Bullets 104

In Cincinnati, Brad Daugherty scored 25 points, including 15 in a third-quarter run that led the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first NBA exhibition victory over winless Washington.

Danny Ferry came off the bench to contribute 10 points to an 18-point run for the Cavaliers (1-5) in the final six minutes of the second quarter. It put Cleveland ahead 59-46 at halftime.
