Bernice Bearnson, 74, died Wednesday, October 24, 1990 at her home from complications of a brain tumor.

Born August 23, 1916 in Spanish Fork to Gisle and Christine Valgardson Bearnson. She received her education in Spanish Fork schools, graduating from Spanish Fork High and Hollywood Beauty College in Provo. She owned and operated her own beauty shop in Spanish Fork for many years. During World War II, she worked in California and Utah for defense industries. Member LDS Church, served as ward librarian, and was a temple worker. She enjoyed her many nieces and nephews and their children.Survived by two brothers and nine sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Sara Ellen) Hanks, Salem; Mrs. Eugene (Bertha) Johnson, Mrs. Wallace (Wilma) Harmer, both Springville; Mrs. Virgil (Geraldine) Smith, Paul Valgardson, both of Provo; Faye Bearnson, Mrs. Reed (Elva) Levanger, Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Hall, Hannah Valgardson, Sherman V. Bearnson, Mrs. Weston (Norma) Jones, all Spanish Fork.

Funereal services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 27, in the Spanish Fork 13th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Huff-Linde Funeral Home in Spanish Fork, Friday evening, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, at the ward chapel, one hour prior to services. Interment, Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
