Here is the latest fishing report from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.

East Canyon - Fishing is poor. Water is low.Farmington Pond - Pond is open to fishing even though people have put up signs indicating that it is not. Fishing is good for nice rainbow.

Holmes Creek - Spotty success for bass and bluegill.

Logan River - Good fall fly fishing.

Lost Creek Reservoir - Road in good shape. Still 2-plus miles unpaved. Good fishing for 9- to 17-inch cutthroats.

Weber River - Fair fishing - stocked with larger rainbow.

Deer Creek - Water level low.

Jordan River - Good fishing opportunities for rainbows. The southern stretch is spring fed. Fishermen who fish the river regularly usually do well.

Provo River - Above Olmstead Diversion the water is clear and low. There are plenty of nice browns to be caught.

Diamond Mountain Lakes - Mat Warner offers good fishing from both shore and boats. The water level is low at Calder, but fishing is still possible.

East/Oak Park - Light fishing pressure, but good fishing.

Flaming Gorge - Fishing is good for rainbows. Try baits and lures down about 35 feet. Lake trout fishing picking up.

Green River - Good to excellent fishing. There is construction on the road to Little Hole.

Joe's Valley - Fishing is picking up for splake in 2- to 3-pound range. All ramps out of water.

Lake Powell - Striped bass fishing is on the decline. Anglers are advised to troll a shallows with shad imitations. Frozen anchovies are recommended bait. Fishing is picking up for both smallmouth and largemouth. Rocky shoreline or structure provide the best fishing. Stanton Creek, Rincon and Good Hope Bay are good choices. Recommended baits include "Gitzits," plastic worms and grubs, spinner baits and worms. Catfishing action has been better in Stanton, Halls and Hansen Creeks. Preferred baits are anchovies, worms and stinkbaits. Bluegill fishing has also been good.

Beaver Mountain Lakes - Fishing fair for rainbow and brooks.

Fish Lake - Fishing has been spotty. The best success has been trolling on the east side. Anglers have been catching smaller lake trout. Fishing is expected to improve in the next couple of weeks.

Johnson Reservoir - The water level is low and the fish are concentrated. Anglers are reported to be catching nice rainbows near the dam.

Panguitch Lake - The water is low and mossy. Fishing is slow but expected to improve as moss dries out.
