Afton Victoria Walton Fish, age 75, died October 21, 1990 in Sandy, Utah.
Born March 16, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah to LaFayette Roy and Victoria Elizabeth Anderson Walton. She married William Edwin Fish on September 28, 1933. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death. She served many years in the primary presidency and various teaching positions, as well as numerous other callings. Served a two year genealogy mission. She owned and operated the Eagle Gate Beauty Salon. She was a cashier at Horton's Market in South Salt Lake for several years. For the past nine years, she has been a member of the L. Clark Cushing Heritage Center in Murray. Enjoyed traveling, dancing, ceramics. Lovingly known as "Twinkle Toes" by her many friends at Heritage. Her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life.Survived by two daughters: Mrs. Hy (Arlene LaRue) Ekelenburg, Midvale; Mrs. Garner (Beverly Joan) Wilkinson, So. Jordan; one son, Kenneth William Fish and wife Fran, Sandy; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; many nieces and newphews; one sister, Blanche Walton Desmond.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., October 25, 1990 at the Hillcrest 2nd Ward, 1200 East 8600 So., Sandy. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive and Thursday at the church 9:45-10:45 prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
