Edward Dahl Caldwell, age 94, died October 20, 1990, in SaltLake City, Utah.

He was born April 19, 1896 in St. Johns, Utah, to James Albertand Catherine Emaline Arthur Caldwell. Married Una May Jensen in the Alberta Temple on December 1, 1926. Dahl emigrated to Canada in 1898 in a covered wagon. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all his life; he served as Priesthood leader, High Councilman and Temple Worker for many years. He was Bishop of the Cardston 1st Ward from 1958 to 1961. Dahl served in the Canadian Armed Forces in Europe during World War I. He lived most of his life in southern Alberta and was the Postmaster in Cardston for 26 years. Following his retirement from the Post Office in 1963, he worked as Temple Recommend Clerk in the Alberta Temple for 12 years. In 1979 he moved with his wife to Snowflake, Arizona. Since 1985 they have resided with their daughter in Salt Lake City, Utah.He is survived by his wife, Una, of Salt Lake City, Utah; his sons, James, Duane (Bud), Lemoyne, DeLynn and Ray, all of Snowflake, Arizona; Gary of Lindon, Utah; and his daughter Nada (Mrs. John D. Morgan) of Salt Lake City; 41 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Hall and Ethel Pitcher, both of Cardston, Alberta,Canada. His daughter Nedra passed away in May 1961.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., October 24, 1990 in the Temple Street Chapel in Cardston, Alberta. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Cardston Cemetery.
