William P. Vaughan, 64, died Saturday, October 20, 1990 at the Dixie Medical Center.
Born December 6, 1925 in Stockton, California to James G. and Mary Bess Cronkhite Vaughan. Married Maryellen Hess, September 15, 1947 in Elko, Nevada. Reared and educated in American Falls, Idaho. Served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II. Employed in radio communications. Worked for the Department of Justice and the FBI for 32 years. Lived in Salt Lake City for several years prior to moving to Ivins. Actively involved in the Amature Radio Club. Member of American Legion, VFW, Loyal Order of Moose and Baptist Church.Survived by wife, son, James Vaughan, both of Ivins, three daughters, Kathryn Vaughan and Nancy Zunino, both Salt Lake City; Barbara Bonner, West Covina, California; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Grace Ann Tassone, Ogden; Mary Zahl, American Falls, Idaho.
Funeral services Wednesday, October 24, 1990 11 a.m. in the Bethany Baptist Church at American Falls, Idaho. Friends may call at the Davis Mortuary in American Falls on Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. Interment: Falls View Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the American Falls Post of the American Legion.
