Actress Ally Sheedy went to a meeting of the Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter at the University of Mississippi to research her latest role. In "Heart of Dixie," which also stars Treat Williams, Sheedy plays a sorority girl who becomes socially enlightened in the early days of the civil rights movement. The movie is being filmed in the Mississippi towns of Oxford, Holly Springs, Tupelo and Memphis, Tenn., and it marks Sheedy's first trip to the South. "I thought maybe I wouldn't fit in," she said of her surroundings. "I thought things would be more reserved. But I feel really comfortable. I really love Oxford. It's so beautiful. It's kind of a fairy-tale town."
