Lee Trevino likes to lead.

During a golf tournament, he likes to see his name atop the leader board. He doesn't mind seeing his name at the top of the earnings list, either.Trevino's two-stroke victory Sunday in the $500,000 Transamerica Senior Golf Championship gives him seven during his rookie season on the PGA Senior Tour.

"I'm trying to beat Beth Daniels," Trevino said. "She's won six times and I've won seven, so I'm just barely beating her."

Actually, Daniels has won seven tournaments this year. Other than that, though, Trevino is doing what he likes - staying on top.

His Transamerica check for $75,000 increased his earnings this year to $922,352.At Carefree, Ariz., Jackie Cummings took the lead on the 10th hole and went on to defeat Bobby Clark 3 and 2 Saturday in the final of the 1990 U.S. Senior Amateur.

Cummings, 55, is the youngest champion in the 35-year history of the Senior Amateur.
