Jerold Ottley conducts The Scottsdale (Arizona) Chorus of Harmony International and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir during the choir's radio and television broadcast Sunday in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. For the past year the 156 female vocalists have been the reigning champions of Harmony International (formerly the Sweet Adelines), a worldwide association that held its 44th annual convention and competition Oct. 16-20 in Salt Lake City. For the broadcast, the Scottsdale Chorus sang two numbers and joined the Tabernacle Choir for another song. Afterward, the two groups presented a mini-concert. Harmony International sponsors 675 chapters with 30,000 members in the United States, Australia, Canada, England, Finland, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Scotland, Sweden and Germany.
