Flutist Galen Abdur-Razzaq will lead the East Coast jazz ensemble Saud in concert Friday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts on the University of Utah campus.

Programmed are works of John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Earl Klugh and Grover Washington, as well as original pieces by band members.Abdur-Razzaq will also present a demonstration at noon the same day, sharing tips for success in the music profession. Hailing from New Jersey, he holds degrees in music education and performance from Rutgers University and studied at Boston's Berklee School of Music. He has performed with Billy Taylor, Melba Moore, Gwen Guthrie and others.

Other Saud musicians are Harry Anderson, bass; Joris Dudli, drums; and Rahn Burton, piano.

The group will also perform Thursday, Oct. 25, at Southern Utah State College in Cedar City.
