Francis Lyman Buhler, 94, of Salt Lake City, died at his home on October 19, 1990.

He was born October 30, 1895 in Midway, Utah to Godfred and Louisa Barben Buhler. He married Louise Anna Griener on September 4, 1929 in Salt Lake City; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died July 25, 1987.He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the Army in France in seven major battles. He worked as a Fireman for Salt Lake City and was a member of the LDS Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Johnson and Betty Clawson, both of Salt Lake City; a step-son, Bob Devine of Jerome, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Hale; and brother, Orson Buhler, both of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 22, 1990 at 10 a.m., in the MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, where friends may call prior to services. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
