Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Delores "Dee" Virginia Nelson Fischer, passed away October 19, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born December 6, 1909 to Ole and Hilda Nelson in Sandy, Utah. Graduated from Jordan High School and was first president of the Jordan High Charlonian Scholastic Pep Club. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles John Fischer on November 25, 1932. She graduated from Comptometer School and worked for Utah Wholesale Grocery Company. Delores spent most of her life as a loving homemaker. Delores fought a long, courageous battle against arthritis but her constant quest for life was an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and cherished making their home a warm and loving sanctuary for all who entered. Delores and Charlie spent many years enjoying each other's company including boating and fishing. Her granddaughter, Brittany was the highlight of her life. She will be deeply missed by her survivors which include her husband, Charles; a son Robert Neil Fischer and daughter-in-law, Jane; granddaughter, Brittany; brother, Dale Nelson; sister-in-law, Virtue Thompson; a and many loving nephews, nieces, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Randall Charles Fischer; and brothers and sister, Clarence Nelson; Lucille Kuhre; and Clayton Nelson. "Rest in peace, Tiger Blossom!"Funeral services on Tuesday, October 23rd, at 1 PM, Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Monday evening 6-8 pm, and Tuesday, the hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
