Michael Nunn overpowered Donald Curry with a storm of blows and then floored the challenger in the 10th round to retain his IBF middleweight title.

Nunn cut the former world welterweight and light middleweight titlist in the second round and floored him in the seventh. Nunn caught the tiring Curry in the champion's own corner with a flurry of 15 blows without a reply. Curry dropped to his knees and referee Denny Nelson ended the fight.
