The Utah National Guard's Camp Williams will be closed to hunting this season because of safety concerns, and local law enforcement officials will issue trespass citations to violators.

Guard officials said the Camp Williams firing ranges are being made available for civilians to sight in their hunting rifles. Those who want to used the range need only check in at the guard station at the entrance to Camp Williams and obtain a permit and directions to the range, which will be open from 3 to 6:30 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 19.
