President Ezra Taft Benson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was released Wednesday afternoon from LDS Hospital after a month's stay in the medical center.
The 91-year-old church leader, who was hospitalized Sept. 18, was released from the hospital at 2:05 p.m., said Don LeFevre, a church spokesman.LeFevre said President Benson will convalesce at home and his doctors will keep a close watch on him.
"After a month in the hospital, I think it's just wait and see to determine what kind of activity he will resume. His schedule has been curtailed in recent months," LeFevre said.
On Sept. 19, physicians operated to removed two large blood clots from each side of his brain.
