Estel F Campbell died Octoer 17, 1990 due to complications following heart surgery.

Born December 6, 1922 in Ammon, Idaho to Charles E. and Madeleine Vefond Campbell. Grew up in Richfield, Utah. Highly decorated Veteran of World War II, Pacific Theatre. Married Winnifred Dyches June 6, 1947 in the Manti Temple. Graduated from the U. of U. with B.S. and M.S. degrees.Survived by his wife, Winnifred, Murray; sons, Jeffrey E. and Martha, Taylorsville; Paul D and Jeneane, Murray; and daughter, Diane Campbell, Murray; six grandchildren, Katie, Camille, Jordan, Brittney, Kelli and Kevin Campbell. He is also survived by three brothers, Charlie, Baldwin Park, California; Wayne, Provo, Utah; Keith, Pocatello, Idaho and four sisters, Yolande Peterson, Phoenix, Arizona; Dorothy Kallenburg, Long Beach, California; Betty Collings, Monroe, Utah and Jackie Robinson, Bountiful, Utah.

Dad spent his career in service of his fellow man, 36 years as a teacher and principal, educating children, 25 year of those in Murray. Member of the LDS Church. Served as bishop of the 5th Ward, High Council, High Priest Group Leader, Veil Worker, Jordan River Temple; also president of the Murray Chapter, Sons of Utah Pioneers. Dad loved his family and worked hard to be of service to those he met. His humor will be greatly missed. Your tender devotion and love for Mom stands as an inspiration to us all. Dad, we all love you.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 1 p.m., October 20, at the Murray 5th Ward, 495 East 5600 South. Friends may call Friday, October 19, from 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State and Saturday from 12:00 to 12:45 at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
