LeGrande Turner Farnsworth, 76, of Panguitch, Utah, died October 13, 1990 in St. George.

Born March 11, 1914 in Kanab, Utah to Frank Levi and Lillian Turner Farnsworth. Married Armeda Syrett April 19, 1935 at Rubys Inn, Utah; solemnized June 7, 1955 in the St. George LDS Temple. He graduated from Kanab High School where he was active in the band and served as student body president. He attended Dixie College. He worked with the CC's, Ruby's Inn, Bryce Canyon Cafe, and Lunt Motor Co. He owned and operated the Farnsworth Chevrolet in Panguitch for 19 years, retired in 1978. He was a past president and member of the Panguitch Lions Club, and had served as a zone chairman. He served two terms on the Garfield County Commission. Member LDS Church, High Priest in the Panguitch Stake.Survived by his wife, Armeda, Panguitch; two daughters, Mrs. Leon (LeAnn) Hamlin, Roxboro, North Carolina; Mrs. Elaine Miller, St. George; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. David Lee (Lucile) Mendenhall, St. George; and Mrs. Ann Farnsworth, Panguitch; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Vinnie) Stewart; Mrs. Hazel Trumble, both Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. LeRoy (Phyllis) Judd, Mrs. Delna Major, Mrs. Athene McAllister, all Kanab. Preceded in death by three sons, Phillip, Carl, and Richard; one grandson, Michael Burn Miller and one great-grandson, Trevor Carter, parents, and two brothers, Hugh and DeLynn.

Funeral services have been rescheduled for Monday, October 22, at 1 p.m., in the Panguitch 2nd Ward Chapel, 550 South 100 West, where friends may call Sunday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Monday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial in the Panguitch Cemetery.
