A Salt Lake man has been arrested in connection with a Wednesday morning robbery of a Maverik convenience store at 1707 S. 300 West.

Salt Lake Police Lt. Ken Thirsk said a man entered the store about 2:10 a.m. and threatened the clerk with what appeared to be a sawed-off shotgun.Officer Isaac Atencio stopped a car leaving the area immediately after the robbery and recovered money along with several tape-wrapped pipes that resembled a sawed-off shotgun, Thirsk said.

A 19-year-old man was arrested as the suspect in the case. A 33-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy who were passengers in the car were also arrested.
