Lowell Charles Howard, 57, of Salt Lake City passed away at a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born February 10, 1933 to Charles L. and Mary Edna Johnson Howard in Salt Lake City. He attended schools in San Francisco, and East High School and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Karen Greenwood January 1, 1960. He worked as a salesman in the Salt Lake City area most of his life.He was an avid reader and loved many types of sports. He also loved his family and countless friends. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of Salt Lake City, three sons, Lincoln Cole Howard and wife Sarah of Boulder, Colorado; Bradley Paul and Douglas Brian Howard of Salt Lake City; three daughters, Mrs. Jan-Erik (Jennifer Ann) Schow of Amarillo, Texas; Rebecca Lee Howard of San Diego and Ashley Ayn of Salt Lake City; two grandchildren, Sara and Wendi. He is also survived by a sister, Beverly Roll and nephew Robert Roll of Salt Lake City and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, October 19, 1990 at 11 a.m. at Parleys 3rd Ward Chapel, 2615 E. Stringham Avenue, Salt Lake City. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery following services.
