Kent Taylor Duffin, 64, passed away October 16, 1990, on Whidbey Island in Langley, Washington, from cancer.

Born October 22, 1925, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harriet Jane Taylor Duffin and Stanley Duffin. Married Mary Jean Mosier June 29, 1963. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 to December 1945, and in the Merchant Marines from 1947 to 1957. He worked with his father for Duffin's Aluminum Products. For many years he was regional manager for the marine division of the Raytheon Company.In later years, he developed a method that is used to repair videos. He had a lifelong love of the sea. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Kent Taylor Duffin, Jr., his parents, and a sister, Elaine D. Nelson.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Duffin, Langley, Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Merlin Nelsen (Joan), Salt Lake City; Mrs. Kenneth Baird (Marilyn), Heber City; Mrs. Jack C. Gledhill (Zella Fay), Salt Lake City; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Lloyd Mosier (Norma), Langley, Washington; a brother-in-law, Lloyd D. Mosier, Brookings, Oregon; an adopted brother and sister-in-law, Louis E. and Roberta Kapscandy, a godson, Louis E. Kapscandy, Jr., Washington; ten nieces and 12 nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 19, at the South Whidbey Island Branch on Manwelton Road, Langley, Washington, at 10 a.m. A viewing will be held at the Hedgcock-Visser Mortuary from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 18, and at the church, one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Bay View Cemetery on Whidbey Island in Langley, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Primary Children's Medical Center, Salt Lake City, Utah.
