Blanche Lublin Murphy, 75, died October 15, 1990 at her home in Salt Lake City.
Born July 16, 1915 in Roosevelt, to P. Alfred and Alice C. Pelkey Lublin. Married Paul Murphy, May 24, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died November 9, 1976. Graduate of BYU. Active in the LDS Church. Stake MIA President, 10 years. Stake Primary leader and Sunday School secretary. Ward Relief Society instructor. Member BPW Club. Woman Of The Year 1980. Member Altrus Club. Teacher and librarian 44 years in Duchesne and Uintah Counties. Member of several committees in the Utah Library Association. President of School Libraries Section for 2 years.Survivors: daughters and son, Ann Schlag, Colorado Springs; Paula Jayne, Sandy; John Paul Murphy, Hyde Park; niece, Shirley Baxter Aycock, Duchesne; 17 grandchildren.
Funeral Services Friday, 11 a.m., Roosevelt LDS Fifth Ward Chapel, 447 East Lagoon St. Friends may call Thursday, 7-9 p.m. at the Olpin-Hullinger Mortuary and Friday, 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial: Roosevelt Memorial Park.
