Earl S. Alexander, age 72, died October 14, 1990, in a Price hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Born September 22, 1918, Liberal, Missouri, son of Robert S. and Valentine Porter Alexander. Married Elsie Darlene Cox, September 22, 1953, Las Vegas, Nevada. Served with U.S. Army during World War II, in Africa, Anzio Beach, and other European Campaigns. Resident of Carbon County since 1946. Former employee U.S. Steel Horse Canyon Coal Mine. Retired 1980. Member U.M.W.A. Local's #8003 and #9958. Active volunteer Senior Citizens and Leisure Club of East Carbon.Survived by his wife, Darlene, East Carbon City; two sons, Larry, Price; Kevin, Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Chad; two brothers, William and Harold, both of Pittsburgh, Kansas.

Funeral Services Thursday, 1 p.m., Dragerton Community Church, East Carbon City. Friends may call Mitchell Chapel, Wednesday and Thursday. Family will be at the church one hour prior to service Thursday. Interment: Sunnyside City Cemetery.
