On behalf of Salt Lake City, Rep. Wayne Owens, D-Utah, gloated a bit on the House floor Monday about Fortune magazine naming it America's best city for business.

"Around the nation, many Americans believe Salt Lake City is still a desert cow town lost between the 19th and 20th centuries. Today folks will be interested to learn that Salt Lake City has arrived as the model American city to do business in," Owens said.Owens added, "The quality of Salt lake City's lifestyle, with world-class ski resorts and the Great Salt Lake short distances away, rivals that of any region nationwide."
