The Department of Psychology at Brigham Young University is launching a Hardy Lectureship, which will combine perspectives from religion and the behavioral sciences.

Wilson G. Reid of Virginia is the first recipient of the award. Using a paper he submitted as the basis for the lecture, Reid will discuss "Human Intimacy and Its Effect on Bonding, Self-Esteem and Agency Within the Family," Thursday, Oct. 18, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in 214 Crabtree Building. The lectureship is made possible through an endowment provided by Kenneth and Mary Hardy.
