Senior Tailback Albert Fann rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns Saturday as Cal State Northridge took advantage of six Southern Utah turnovers to grab a 34-24 Western Football Conference victory.

After Southern Utah tied the score at 17-17 with just over ten minutes remaining in the third period, the T-Birds turned the ball over on six consecutive series.The win gives the Matadors a perfect 2-0 conference record (5-1 overall). Southern Utah slips to 2-1 in the WFC, 4-3 overall.

"Our defense . . . played well enough to win. You just can't turn the ball over that many times and beat anybody," Thunderbird Coach Jack Bishop said.

The T-Birds host St. Mary's on Saturday.
