The Consulting Engineers Council of Utah is accepting applications for its annual scholarship awards program.

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges on superior scholastic efforts, civic responsibility, community and college-level achievements, previous work experience, recommendations and writing ability.To be eligible, candidates must be U.S. citizens, pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college of engineering and entering their senior, senior or fifth year in the fall of 1991.

State finalists will compete for the American Consulting Engineers Council 1991 scholar of the year award. The national winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship and 15 runners-up will receive either $2,500 or $1,000 awards.

Students living in Utah must be sponsored by a state organization and advance to the national level by March 15. Judging will be held April 15, 1991, in Washington, D.C.
