Three Utah women were crowned queens recently at the Utah Mrs., Miss and Miss Teen pageant held at Highland High School.
Anne Clawson, of Orem, was crowned Mrs. Utah 1990; Tracy Kennick, of Price, was crowned Miss Utah 1990; and Monika Sorenson, of Salt Lake City, was crowned Miss Teen Utah.Clawson and her husband, Grig, have three children. Clawson works with the Orem area Rape Crisis Team and is a member of the speakers' bureau for the Center for Women and Children in Crisis.
Kennick is a Brigham Young University sophomore majoring in broadcast communications. She is the daughter of Bill and Connie Kennick, a field producer for KBYU and a dance instructor.
Sorenson aspires to modeling. The Highland High School student is the daughter of George and Linda Sorenson. She was selected Miss Photogenic Venice Beach 1989.
Runners-up in the Mrs. Utah contest are: first, Julie Watson; second, Nancy Nicholas; third, Shana Gardner; and fourth, Mary Leisa Moore. Sherrie Jones won the congeniality award.
Runners-up in the Miss Utah contest are: first, Christy Bunnell; second, Missy Jensen; third, Stacy Mollenhauer; fourth, Stacy Poll. Monica Burgie won the congeniality award.
Runners-up in the Miss Teen contest are first, Chantel Baker; second, Denise Moody; third, Analisa Tucker; fourth, Jennifer Dewyea. Heidi Fuller won Miss Congeniality.
