Paul Purdy Fawson, beloved husband and father, passed away Sunday, October 14, 1990 in a Clearfield hospital, one week prior to his 91st Birthday.
Born October 22, 1899 in Grantsville, Utah to Raymond and Sarah Elizabeth Curtis Fawson. Married in 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple to Lu Clark. Shortly thereafter he joined the Peerless Laundry in Sugarhouse as an owner, and worked until he was 73. Active member LDS Church. Had served a mission to the Central States 1922-24. Had served as High Priest Group Leader and Ward Clerk in the Sugarhouse ward. He and his wife had worked as temple workers in the Ogden Temple for 12 years.Survived by his wife, Sunset; two sons and one daughter, Paul P. Fawson, St. George; Kenneth L. Fawson, Salt Lake City; LuRae Curtis Riley, Beaverton, Oregon; 33 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Faye Fawson, Salt Lake City; Ray and Kenneth Fawson, Grantsville. Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Funeral Services Wednesday, 12 Noon, Sunset Sixth Ward, 220 West 975 North in Sunset. Friends may call Tuesday, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West. Interment: Grantsville City Cemetery.
