Arthur Milton Spencer died October 11, 1990 at his home. he was 96.
Born September 18, 1894 to George James and Mary Anne Dennis Spencer in Salt Lake City, Utah. Married Marie Johnson April 26, 1919 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania; marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1921.They were the parents of four sons, with 21 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Stake High councilor, Bishop, temple worker, and as a missionary with his beloved wife in the Southwest British Mission.
He operated the Salt Lake Barber and Beauty Supply Co for many years, then worked as the head cashier for the Deseret News, later transfering to the News Paper Agency Corp. in the collections; he retired in 1960.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur M., Jr and Helen Spencer, Kirkland, Washington; Robert V. and Jane Spencer, Santa Maria, California; Donald J. and Beverly Spencer, Torrence, California; Gary K. and Carolyn Spencer, Orem, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 17 October, at 11 a.m., in the Canyon View Stake Center, 575 East 800 North, Orem. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Orem Cemetery under direction of Berg Mortuary.
