Book lovers will have 40,000 books to choose from, beginning Saturday, Oct. 20, 7 a.m., at the Salt Lake City Library System's main branch, 209 E. 500 South.
The annual used-book sale will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 20 and will continue 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both Monday, Oct. 22, and Tuesday, Oct. 23.On Saturday, hardbacks will sell for $1; paperbacks, records and cassette tapes will be 50 cents. Monday is half-price day on all but a few specially priced items. Tuesday is bargain day with patrons able to fill a grocery bag full of books for $4.
A "Golden Oldies" area is planned this year, featuring older books with special printing or bindings. Books in this section will be individually priced.
